Domori S.p.A. is headquartered in None, on the outskirts of Turin, where its production facility is located. Since its inception in 1997, Domori has been a true revolution in the world of cocoa: it was the first chocolate company to use only fine cocoa, focusing on high quality. It was the first to produce chocolate with Criollo cocoa, the rarest and most prized variety. The first to control the supply chain from plantations, located in South and Central America, and to have its own plantation, which allowed it to preserve the biodiversity of Criollo cocoa in the field. The first to rediscover and use an ancient and simple formula for dark chocolate: cocoa mass and sugar. The first to create a 100% Criollo chocolate bar. Today, Domori is part of the Gusto Pole, the illy Group holding that gathers all non-coffee activities, and besides being a leading company in the production of high-quality chocolate, it has become a distributor for Italy of a collection of excellent products: from Dammann Frères teas, to Agrimontana jams, passing through fine wines like Mastrojanni and Champagne Barons de Rothschild. In 2019, it also announced the signing of an agreement to acquire Prestat, one of the most beloved chocolate brands in the United Kingdom and a supplier to the British Royal Family. This acquisition allows Prestat to access the exclusive raw materials used by Domori and thus integrate the control of the entire value chain into its production, “from bean to truffle.”

Thanks to its innovative approach and constant pursuit of excellence, today Domori’s turnover exceeds 20 million euros and its products are sold in Italy and in major foreign markets. Since July 23, 2020, Domori has changed its legal status to Domori S.p.A. and has decided to become a Benefit Company. As a Benefit Company, the company intends to pursue common benefit purposes and operate responsibly, sustainably, and transparently towards individuals, communities, territories, and the environment, as well as cultural and social goods and activities, organizations, and other stakeholders.

Hacienda Victoria is located on sacred land in Ecuador, where cocoa cultivation has been a tradition for over two thousand years, thanks to particularly favorable climatic conditions alternating between rainy and dry seasons. Furthermore, thanks to the vision of Andres Guzman and Charlie Garcia, it was possible to build a modern and state-of-the-art plantation with the aim of preserving pure Arriba Nacional cocoa, the cultivation of which is now extinct. Hacienda Victoria also contributes to the development of the local community by funding the construction of schools and providing materials to improve the level of education. The cultivated cocoa is of the pure Arriba Nacional variety, free from contamination by CCN51. In tasting, it offers extraordinary roundness and aromatic notes of white flowers, dried fruit, and spices, making it one of the most appreciated cocoas in the world.
